EN: I have always been a musician and a friend of electronics. Since my earliest childhood, I have enjoyed jingling around on keyboards. I enthusiastically disassembled any electronic device into its individual parts. I already had my own organ in 1982. In 1983 the computer followed. In 1984 I discovered "Schwingungen", a radio program of the WDR (West German Broadcasting Corporation) in which purely classical electronic music was played. Beside SynthiPop, House, Acid and Tekno, it is the sounds of Jarre, Schulze & Co. that accompany me until today. I have been making music all my life. In 2004 I decided to do this again in public. In 2005 my first album "Teralogica" was released. Two years later I founded my own label "MellowJet-Records", which has released and released numerous albums to this day. Among them of course my studio albums, live albums and also surround production. I go on stage as often as possible. Especially concerts in planetariums I love. So all my Cosmo albums are produced for them. My music always serves a high standard of sound, composition and arrangement. Each of my albums has a concept. Besides the main theme of space travel and the magic of the cosmos, I am always looking for other themes. So there were the "World of Apes"-albums where I dedicated myself to the history and the threat of the atomic bomb. With "Still Alive" I dealt with the death of my mother. "Schwarzmond" and "The Wave" are dedicated to the rather dark and analogous sound worlds of electronics. "Zeitenwende" was also a special album for me, because for the first time I consciously allowed my music more room to unfold, which I adapted in the following albums. Beyond the Deep is a journey back to the 80s as I experienced it. My music continues to evolve and my own demand for quality has grown over the years without losing its lightness. My heart beats for rhythm-oriented electronics, but sometimes it becomes spherical. My music is instrumental and when vocals fly in, it is as a synthesized instrument and less as text with intention. |
